SDET Interview Ready Program

Selenium, Java, Framework & Interview Preparation

Are you applying for automation/SDET roles but not getting enough interview calls? Are you attending interviews but not able to crack them confidently?

The Problem This Program Solves

Many Selenium automation testers face two major problems: not getting enough interview calls, or getting interview calls but not able to crack them.

The reason is often not only technical knowledge. Many candidates can write Selenium scripts, but struggle when interviewers ask practical SDET questions like:

  1. How do you locate an element in Selenium when the locator keeps changing frequently?
  2. How do you structure a Cucumber feature file so that it explains business behavior instead of becoming Selenium steps written in English?
  3. Given a login page, dashboard, table, and edit workflow, how will you design an automation solution for end-to-end validation?
  4. How will you automate a dynamic table where row order keeps changing and the expected data may appear on any page?
  5. How will you debug a test that passes locally but fails in Jenkins?
  6. How will you handle a flaky test that fails randomly without any clear pattern?
  7. How do you write Selenium automation code using best practices instead of writing everything inside one test method?
  8. Why did you choose your framework design approach, and what alternatives did you consider?
  9. How do Docker and Kubernetes help in automation testing or CI/CD execution?
  10. What CI/CD challenges have you seen in automation execution, and how will you troubleshoot them?
  11. How can AI help in test automation without blindly depending on generated code?
  12. How will you explain your project, framework contribution, failures handled, and resume points confidently in an interview?

This program is designed to help you close that gap.

Who This Program Is For

For testers and automation engineers with 1–8 years of experience who want to become interview-ready for Selenium automation and SDET roles.

Automation Testers

For Selenium automation testers who are not getting enough interview calls or are getting rejected in technical rounds.

360 degree coverage

For testers who know Selenium but struggle to explain framework design, automation scenarios, and advanced concepts.

Resume + Interview Readiness

For engineers who want to improve resume quality, project explanation, interview confidence, and SDET positioning.

Important prerequisite: You should already know basic Java and basic Selenium before joining. This program will not teach Java from scratch, and Java coding/problem solving will not be covered as a separate topic.

What You Will Learn

The program focuses on interview readiness on Selenium, automation development, frameworks, CI/CD awareness, resume improvement, and communication.

Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG Basics

Revise important concepts from an interview point of view and connect them to real project usage.

Automation Scenario Problem Solving

Handle dynamic tables, flaky waits, Jenkins failures, test data, reusable methods, and debugging discussions.

Automation Best Practices

Improve script structure, naming, separation of responsibility, reusable method design, and maintainability.

Framework Design & Development

You will build and understand a practical automation framework from design to execution.

CI/CD Concepts

Interview-focused CI/CD concepts with practical demos around Jenkins, Docker awareness, and Kubernetes awareness.

AI in Test Automation

High-level AI awareness for test ideas, script improvement, debugging support, and responsible AI usage.

Interview Attitude

Improve project explanation, framework answers, debugging communication, and how to handle unknown questions.

Resume Review

Your resume will be reviewed during the course from an automation/SDET interview perspective.

Mock Interview

One mock interview after course completion with detailed improvement feedback.

Every session includes interview-style questions connected to that day’s topic. Assignments will be given for deeper learning.

Sample Automation Scenarios Discussed

  • How will you automate a dynamic table where the row order changes, pagination is enabled, and the expected record may appear on any page?
  • How will you design reusable methods without creating a large CommonUtils class that becomes difficult to maintain?
  • How will you handle flaky waits when an element is visible in one run, slow in another run, and sometimes blocked by loaders or animations?
  • How will you debug a failure when the test passes locally but fails in Jenkins or in a different browser?
  • How will you structure an automation framework so that new pages, new scenarios, new test data, and new team members can be added without breaking existing tests?

What Will Not Be Covered

To avoid wrong expectations, these topics are not covered as full training modules.

Java Coding & Problem Solving

This program will not teach Java from scratch. It will not cover deep Java coding, DSA, or general programming problem-solving.

Manual Scenario Elaboration

This program will not focus on manual test case writing or detailed manual test scenario elaboration.

Agile Development Concepts

This program will not provide detailed Agile methodology training. High-level interview guidance may be provided where relevant.

Program Outcomes

By the end of this program, you should be able to prepare better for Selenium automation and SDET interviews.

  • Improve Selenium automation interview readiness and technical explanation.
  • Understand framework design from a practical point of view.
  • Build and explain a practical automation framework.
  • Approach automation scenario questions more confidently.
  • Improve resume quality for automation/SDET roles.
  • Understand CI/CD concepts and high-level AI usage in automation.
  • Prepare better for technical interviews and mock interviews.
